I always make a to be read list but I tend to deviate from it every time. I always find some other book I want to read that’s not on my list but this month I’m going to try to be good and stick to my list. Here’s what I plan on reading this month.
1. The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
I’ve been making my way through the Raven Cycle series and I can’t believe it’s almost over. I absolutely fell in love with this magical and mysterious series and although I don’t want it to end I can’t wait to know how it all comes together.
2. You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour & David Levithan
I received an ARC copy of this book and I thought it sounded amazing. It follows Mark and Kate, who discover more about each other in one night than they ever thought possible. Also, before you think this is a love story between Mark and Kate, it should be noted that Kate has been in love with a girl from afar for a while and Mark is in love his best friend. #LGBTQReads
3. Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin
Full disclosure I’m not entirely sure what this book is about. I know it changes history so the Axis powers win World War II and now the main character is in a race to kill Hitler. I think. Either way I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and I got the ARC of the sequel so I’m excited to dive in.
4. Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin
Speaking of the sequel…I mainly want to read Wolf by Wolf so I can read Blood for Blood. Someone told me I don’t need to read Wolf by Wolf to read Blood for Blood but I don’t want to be confused about anything so I’m going to read Wolf by Wolf first and then dive into this book.
5. Fairest by Marisa Meyer
Fairest has been on TBR for SO long. I need to read this book just so I can finally say I’ve read all The Lunar Chronicles books. It’s the only one I haven’t read. I even read Stars Above. I don’t know why I haven’t read it yet. Maybe because I don’t care about Levana that much. Either way, this month is the month. For reals this time.
6. The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
I had the pleasure of meeting Morgan Matson and she was such an amazing person. I haven’t read any of her books yet but this one sounds really interesting and I’m excited to read it. I already started it and I’m intrigued.
7. Dark Horses by Cecily von Ziegesar
I loved Cecily von Zeigesar’s Gossip Girl and It Girl series so I was excited to hear she was coming out with a new book. This book is a bit darker than her previous series but I’m interested to see if I’ll love it just as much as I loved her other books.
8. Dreamology by Lucy Keating
First of all, this cover is beautiful. Secondly, I love the premise of this novel. The girl literally falls in love with the boy of her dreams and then the boy isn’t just in her dreams anymore. Talk about a crazy love story. I can’t wait!
What are you reading this month? Let me know in the comments below!
Wolf by Wolf was an AMAZING book, and you definitely need to read it first before moving on to Blood for Blood! (The motorcycle race isn’t actually a race to kill Hitler, just a CHANCE to.) I’m hoping to finish A Tyranny of Petticoats and read Ready Player One + Summer Days and Summer Nights, at least! I hope you end up loving Wolf by Wolf, it was one of my favorites from last year.
Ahhh okay. That makes sense. And let me know how Summer Days and Summer Nights is. I thought about picking it up but haven’t yet. I’ll let you know what I think of Wolf by Wolf. I just got it from my library.
